UpSki News-January 06

John has ordered fabric and is planning on building the new design differently. More about this from the Fall 05 UpSki News. New backcountry gear, a great pile of new snow and freqeunt windy days have made this a classic UpSki season. UpSkiing near the white wave has been great in between storms.

Kite Skiing continues to bring new attention to the sport of UpSki from questions about where to go to how UpSki is different from Kite Skiing and Boarding. Here is how the two traction kite designs compare. Several calls have come in form Kite Skiers who want to give the A lpine Ascent version a try.

Chiharu Fujii and Dan Graybill of Fort Lewis College in Durango made the effort to contact UpSki and were invited to be our guest for a first UpSki outing on Lake Dillon to close out their Holiday Break. A great time was had by all with steady winds and good riding by all. More pictures and a slide show are here.
