Nurses

Amy is the Physical Therapist who comes in a couple times a day to stretch
Pat's limbs. From time to time they put braces on her hands to keep them
from clenching all the time and on her feet to keep her feet from dropping
down.
These two smiles are from Brigham Young University nursing students. They helped give Pat a bath, and drain her trach, and give her shots, and help lift her spirits. I don't know if it worked for Pat, but they sure lifted mine!
Nurse Bruce is shown here trying out a new 3M stethoscope that we found for him. Bruce was also one of those who saw her immediately when she arrived and helped save her life.

Jeannette, the new occupational therapist, came in this morning to do a little sensory therapy. In this picture she is holding a jar of pepper under her nose. No reaction to this or to cinnamon. But when Larry put some ground coffee under her, she got a little smile and a twitch on her lip.

Jeannette also put a hot wash cloth and then a cold one on her back, and maybe did some more things when I wasn't paying attention. Interesting, I thought. Dan
I just wanted to say thank you for the stethoscope, socks and yummy treats. It has been a real pleasure working with Pat and her family. I know in my heart that Pat will make a full recovery and I look forward to the day that she can come back for a social visit. My prayers are with you Pat, Larry and Dan.
