Welcome to the auntpat mailing list. There are currently over 100 friend's & family members requesting e-mail updates about Pat. To speed this process and because so many of the e-mails need to be shared with everyone, we have set up a mailing list on a list server at our ISP. Both
Pat Updates and e-mails of support will make the rounds to all members of the list instantly.
This mailing list is "closed" for your protection but anyone may join. We have made the assumption that everyone who has expressed an interest to date would want to subscribe and have taken the liberty of subscribing you to the list. There is no
charge. You will be receiving a message confirming that you are a member and an introductory message containing additional information about the list.
If we have missed you, you may subscribe by sending an email to

After we have updated our list you will be added.
If for some reason you want to be removed from the list, simply send an email to majordomo@lists.sni.net in the body of the mail message write:
unsubscribe auntpat
end
This text must be in the body of the mail message, not the subject line.
That is all there is to it.
The name of the list is auntpat.
To send email to everyone on the list, address your email to auntpat@sni.net The list server will send your message to all who have subscribed.
To reply to only the author of an email forwarded by the list, use the "reply" icon on your mail program.
To send a special message only to Pat & Larry, send it to Betsy at betsyc@sni.net Betsy is in daily communication with Larry & can forward messages, & your message will be added to an archive of all email received so Pat & Larry can read them at a later date. It should be quite a book.
The "thoughts from friends" section of the website will become a database of email contacts. Back issues of the listserv will be available but you might want to save them to a separate folder in your email system. Major "threads" or topics on the list, such as "Is there a medical fund?" will spawn a web page devoted to that collection of information.
