Kay Kelly (a Nursing Friend of Kay's)

Hello, I'm one of Kay's neighbors and piano players for her student concerts.
Tom has kept me posted and I've so appreciated the web site with the
excellent updates, information, pictures, etc.

You are a tremendous support to Pat, and much of her progress, I believe is
related to amount of support she has received. Without the prayers, love and
support, the journey is much more difficult. From a nursing perspective (I'm
a nurse practitioner and nursing instructor by trade), I have been very
impressed with the intense support. Many research studies have been done
that show recovery and support are directly correlated. Reading Emails from
across the nation prove the support extends far beyond cyberspace. The
advice Kay gave for blood donations was great. People need to hear this
again and again. It sounds like Pat is a fighter. Good handwashing will
help Pat immensely in this war. I'd like to be an angel in the corner of her
room and whisper "thanks for washing your hands" to every person entering and
leaving her room. I'd like to also remind everyone about the power of touch.
Touch heals. Kind words with all cares helps heal. I think Pat has many
angels in her room. May her progress continue everyday and I will continue
to keep her in my thoughts and prayers in Minnesota. See you soon, Kay.
Kristi Kelly
