August 16th Update -from Debra and Kay
The good news in Salt Lake City:
- 1) Pat's condition is stabilizing further. The hope is that tomorrow the sedation levels will come down. Then we'll see how she responds. Right now her ICP is pretty good, and she's maintaining a good blood pressure all on her own (for the first
time since.
- 2) Her bruises are healing a bit. Less purple, prettier skin... although since day one her face has looked great. Only Pat could go through a tornado and still look pretty. (Whenever someone would meet Pat and her sister Kay at the same time
Pat would say, "I'm the cute shy one.")
- 3) Kay is now here in Salt Lake. Debra is reluctantly returning to Denver tonight. We're writing this together.
- 4) Larry's doing OK. Right now he's getting his van in for repairs. The tornado hit it too.
- 5) The Bray side of Pat's family is wondering if the green liquid food entering her body through the tube is really Irish blood. (NO! NO! cry the Swedes!)
We want to thank everyone right now for all the prayers and thoughts and calls and cards for Pat. It really is helpful and comforting to know the incredible love everyone has for Pat. More info coming...
Kay and Debra and Larry too.
