Not a lot to report today so far. Apparently she's resting after a big day yesterday. Everyone's still very encouraged. Check the website for new pics, especially "Aunt Pat Cool Cat" (which I just sent and may take a bit to be put up).

This is absolutely worth sharing, from my wife's brother who is a professor at the University of Oklahoma and specializes in Indian history. Dan

Some of my Kiowa and Comanche students, learning
about "Aunt Pat's" condition last week, held an "honor dance"
for her at Carney over the weekend. One of the Kiowa boys told
me, "Yeah, we danced pretty good. Everybody was feelin' real
good about things; though we kinda messed up on the name. It
don't really matter, as long as the songs are right and the
prayers are felt in the heart and carried by the sound of the
drum. We kept singing for Patty MacLeod Whose-Other-Last-
Name-Sounds-Like-Smith-But-Isn't-We-Think. Anyway, it rymned O.K."

So when Patty starts
"answering the door," and after the first thousand or so
greetings and thoughts from loved ones and friends, you might
tell her about the Kiowa and Comanche boys around Carney,
Oklahoma, dancing by the warm, yellow light of Saturday's
gibbous moon for her quick and complete recovery. "It was a
good day to dance--night, too," as James Anko said.

Ajo!
