Saturday evening, Sept. 11

Greetings from Pat’s sister in Minnesota! I talked to Uncle
Larry on the phone today and am happy to tell you the recent
strides and indications of tremendous healing.

*Pat was holding a small photo, squinting to see it. When
Larry put her reading glasses on her, the squint went away.
Hurray! I think that means she’s truly focusing.

*She tried to wave goodbye to Larry when he left the room.

*The fluid draining from the lung area is a much better
color. The lung expert will return Monday and then
determine whether the drain tube can be removed and if she
can again be free of the ventilator.

*Larry plans a 1 day trip to Denver for the big show and has
been guaranteed that Pat will stay in room #10, the one with
the great view and constant nursing attention.

Your messages, thoughts, and prayers have unfathomable
power. Ya’ll are the world’s best PLSers imaginable.

Kay
