TUESDAY 9/28 E MAIL From LARRY
GOODBYE FROM THE HUFFMANS
As I begin this day it would seem as though to be just another day in Utah, similar to anyone of the past 45 + mornings. You know get up before light (which is getting easier everyday) grind some beans, attempt to open the computer to check aunt Pat's web page and if I get lucky look at the e-mail.

Wait just a minute today seems different!

Is it that I got into the computer as a seasoned pro, could it be that I am about to graduate and compose my first e-mail, maybe it's that I could even get it sent before some act of mother nature takes it away, could it be that I have to wear pants & shoes for the first time in 45 + days, Is that the realtor has found the perfect little hide-away to late, Is that we are about to get on a private jet to scoot across the great rockies to document and absorb the changing of the leaves, one of Gods great wonders.

No I belive today is different because, I am sad to leave all our new friends who have opened their hearts and homes to us and anyone who knows Tornado Pat.

The list of new and old friend, from the Huffman's, the Jones, the entire hospital staff and on and on is it to long for the short time I have before the bus picks me up for school today.

thank you thank you thank you,

Who would guess that it would be so hard to leave the hospital, the state of Utah and the warmth of all who have shared in Pats recover to date?

thank you thank you thank you

As we move forward please keep in mind "I did not need that extra piece of pie, but I wanted
one" its there for all to share.

I have now begun to look forward to the next time we meet.

Larry And Pat

Tuesday 9-28-99

Pat & Larry,

It was interesting to me that when we got to the hospital this morning for Pat's release that it was Marta that was there to get a new food tube down the hatch. Marta was good and I'll make sure that she and the rest of nurses get their occaisional dose of sweet rolls on behalf of Pat & Larry. They will all be remembered and Pat will be back on her own terms to thank them again as well.

When we got to the Lear 25 on the executive side of the airport there was not much time wasted in getting our precious cargo aboard. About one minute before we lifted her up into the Lear Jet she lifted her head up higher than I've ever seen before, turned it good to check the wing out. With her glasses on she saw the plane and opened up her eyes wide, then with a big ear to ear smile she held her hand up and said gotta go with that unmistakeable MacSchmidt grin. Up and in that little rocket
ship girl, your outta here, and by now you are there. We'll see you soon too...

Now you're on to bigger and better things, you no longer have to fight to survive, now you have fight to perform. You have to pace yourself too, which you're now an expert at doing well. Your best Dcotor has always been the one at your side, he'll always be there.

Best regards and love always,
The Huffman's
