Founder of UpSki Svatun and SkiSeil (Norway) has died. Morten Svatun, who along with Conrad Thrane, started traction kiting in Norway with the UpSki in the mid-1980's and later was the country's pioneer in a sport he would name"SkiSeil" which used delta and ram-air snow kites. Morten was found dead in the fall of 2003 following a long period of discomfort from a medical condition.
